Group Dramatherapy
Group dramatherapy involves weekly dramatherapy group sessions whereby a number of individuals meet to explore and share past and present difficulties. Group dramatherapy encourages the creative expression of thoughts and feelings in a way that can lead to greater self awareness and understanding of personal difficulties, as well as helping to make problems more manageable. Group dramatherapy suggests that as individual difficulties arise from the nature of our relationships with others, these might be best creatively explored, understood and addressed in a group context.
The group consists of between four to eight members.
The dramatherapy group is on-going with no fixed end date. Membership of the group may change as individuals leave and move on and new members are introduced.
All new referrals (self referral or individuals referred) are followed by an assessment period after which a joint decision will be made as to whether group treatment is appropriate or not.
Each group session lasts one and a half hour.
Groups are held in the Bedford area.
Fees vary according to a sliding scale.
