Public Creative Space
A Public Creative Space aims at creatively developing and promoting dialogue and interaction between individuals and groups within and across communities. The purpose of a public creative space is to encourage the expression, exchange and confrontation of personal and social experiences in a way that leads to greater understanding, acceptance and change in social relations.
A Public Creative Space is an encounter of individuals coming together to discuss, explore and reflect on a common issue. It is a space where ideas, feelings, thoughts and emotions can be shared openly and in all safety. It is a space of confrontation and understanding where it is believed that conflicts and antagonisms are best overcome through dialogue. Public Creative Spaces are encouraging the use of the arts (music, visual arts, performing arts) as a catalyst for the exploration of our deepest human experience.
Public Creative Spaces are creative community forums that promote a renewal of democracy through the sharing of personal stories and experiences, the clarification of motivations, the questioning of attitudes and behaviours, and the expression of desires.
